In Speedsoft competitions, Dynamic Shooting, or the most frenetic CQB scenarios, reloading your weapon without having to change your grip on the pistol saves vital fractions of a second. The original AAP-01 magazine release button has a low profile that sometimes forces you to slightly rotate the pistol to fully press it. This Action Army Extended Mag Release protrudes towards the rear, literally meeting your thumb. The result? An instinctive, fluid, and infallible magazine drop in any situation.
Ultra-Lightweight CNC Aluminum Construction:
Designed specifically for the tolerances of the Action Army AAP-01, this component is milled from a solid block of aluminum using high-precision CNC machinery. This ensures extreme robustness while keeping the weight down to a ridiculous 4 grams! The non-slip texture on the contact pad also ensures a perfect grip even in wet or muddy conditions.
The Holster Curse (Warning!): Extended buttons are incredibly convenient, but they carry a potential risk: if you use a very tight or poorly shaped rigid Kydex holster, the inner edge of the holster could accidentally press this button while you run, causing you to lose the magazine in the woods! If you use this upgrade, pair it with "Open Holster" (like those for Speedsoft) or make sure your rigid holster has a deep recess in the magazine release area.
The Naughty Little Screw: The aluminum extension is fixed to the internal release tooth by the black Allen screw visible in the photo. It is a part subject to strong pressure from your thumb. To prevent it from loosening or rotating over time, dab the threads of the screw with a veil of blue (medium) threadlocker before tightening it.
